Currently SEAmagine is building our seventh generation of submersibles and the evolution of our crafts has been tremendous - virtually every aspect and detail having evolved to various degrees.  The result is a submersible that is safer, easier to operate, goes far deeper, has simplified maintain requirements and is just plain more fun to operate.

General Description

The basic concept of SEAmagine’s submersibles consist of a self propelled electric vessel that can carry two or three three occupants in a one atmosphere acrylic cabin to depths ranging from  500 feet (153m) to 3000 feet (914m) of sea water.

The cabin opens as a clam shell and allows for easy entry and exit for the occupants. The sealed cabin is equipped with a full life support system where scrubbers remove the carbon dioxide, oxygen is replenished at a controlled flow, and the environment is monitored by various analyzers.  

In surface mode, the flotation system permits the craft to float high above the water line with a freeboard of over 30 inches. When the surface flotation is fully deflated the craft remains slightly positively buoyant and will only submerge when driven downwards by its vertical thrusters. Underwater, the submersible remains practically horizontal at all times and does not roll nor pitch. The buoyancy and balance of the craft is static. All electric propulsion thrusters are fixed and either push or pull depending on the direction of rotation of the propellers. Depth control is achieved by the vertical thrusters. Piloting the craft is via a joystick in the cabin. At the end of the dive the flotation bladders are re-inflated such that the craft floats back on the water surface and the cabin can be opened.

All SEAmagine submersibles are classed +A1 by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), guaranteeing the vehicles are built to the highest quality standards in the industry. SEAmagine follows strict construction rules dictated by ABS, which conducts material and construction surveys before certifying each submersible prior to delivery.
