Overview of SEAmagine Diving History Around the World
SEAmagine Hydrospace Corporation has a long history producing its personal submarines and private submersibles. The company's private submersibles have performed thousands of dives around the world from many types of superyachts and in a wide range of sea conditions. These personal submarines and private submersibles have been used in scientific, commercial, and superyachts and have also been used in National Geographic, BBC, and other numerous film projects. SEAmagine has a perfect safety record and a solid track record in reliability and practicality in both the professional and superyachts markets.
We have been dedicated to the personal submarines industry since 1995.The many private submersibles the company has produced have demonstrated the safety, utility, and dependability of its submarines. This was achieved through a total commitment to safety and quality standards that meets and exceeds the requirements of the regulatory agencies.
All our personal submarines and private submersibles are classed A1+ by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) that performs all inspections and surveys on each submersible constructed. All design elements are reviewed by ABS’s engineering review board and the manufacturing and testing surveyed by their field operations. SEAmagine’s total dedication to safety and quality of all its personal submarines and private submersibles has gained the respect of many of the regulatory groups in the world. SEAmagine has a very close and strong working relationship with ABS, both at the engineering review headquarters in Houston, and at the Survey Office in Long Beach California. SEAmagine is on the Special Review Committee for the ABS Underwater Vehicles Rules and meets regularly to update the rules and regulations to fit the industry needs.
SEAmagine also has strong working relationships with many other classing societies including the US Coast Guard, Germanischer Lloyds, and the Cayman Shipping Registry.
The company developed its initial personal submersible pilot training program in conjunction with the US Coast Guard in 1999. From this base the program has expanded over the years, and is today an extremely well structured and proven training process. The objective of the training program is not only to have trained pilots of the submarines or submersibles, but to also ensure that the full crew of the ship is familiar with the overall operation and its contingencies.
SEAmagine has a long standing Annual Technical Support Program that it offers to all of its clients, providing unlimited technical support from its head office as well as by its engineers onsite.
This technical support program covers SEAmagine’s annual preventive maintenance program for its personal submarines and private submersibles, which involves performing a full servicing of the submersibles once a year. This annual servicing of the personal submarines by the company is typically coordinated with the annual Classing Society survey and Flag State survey, ensuring that all regulatory certificates are approved and remain current on the submarines.
